I trained as a doctor before I trained as a designer. Medicine taught me to take ambiguity as the default, design for the worst-case user, and treat clarity as a survival skill rather than a stylistic choice.
The shift from medicine to design wasn’t a clean pivot. It was the same instinct redirected. Diagnose first, then prescribe. Read the user before redrawing the screen. Most of my best calls are still bedside calls in a different uniform.
